Step 1: Project Management
Project management is an integral part of allowing a project to run smoothly and efficiently. Effective communication is an incredibly important element in the project management process. All of our project managers at Innovative Iron are experienced and incredibly knowledgeable. We implement business management software to provide a multitude of tools for communication, including emails, photos, videos, and drawings. This helps to ensure that every member of the team remains on the same page throughout the entire project.
Step 2: Design/ Draftsmen
The design step of our process allows us to ensure that you obtain the outcome you desire from your project. We have steel detailers that are able to draw in both Autocad and Solid works. This allows us to provide shop drawings, as well as 3D images for the approval of our clients. All of our clients know exactly what they are getting to prevent any miscommunication. We also have a 3D printer that we use on some of our projects in order to provide a tangible view of the appearance of the final product.
Step 3: Fabrication
Our foreman has over 20 years of experience in the steel industry and he plays an incredibly important role in the company. He communicates directly with the detailers and project managers on each project. He provides management over the fabrication process as well as provides superior quality control. Our team consists of fabricators and welders with unique skills and talents. This allows us to effectively produce a broad array of projects, including everything from structural steel welds to delicate TIG welds on stainless and aluminum metal. We additionally have individuals who are skilled in traditional blacksmithing processes. Each of our fabricators has experience in reading blueprints and ensuring that each part is fabricated to the correct specifications.
Step 4: Finishes
We offer many different finishes for all of our projects. Our experts are able to provide guidance regarding advantages and disadvantages of each finish type, depending primarily on its location and situation. The most popular finishes are powder coat, patina with wax, or a primer and paint, though our professionals will be able to provide you with the guidance you need to make the best decision for your project.
Step 5: Installers
Every one of our projects is installed by our experienced team. Our installation crews are experienced and able to provide exceptional installation services in all kinds of situations. A project manager is often there for the installation in order to make sure that everything operates as intended. These services are often performed alongside other construction work, so our team is experienced in communicating and working alongside the professionals of other trades, as well as the job superintendent.
Step 6: Project Wrap Up
The project doesn’t end after the installation is completed. Efficient office operation is an important component of wrapping up the project after installation. This makes everyone’s job easier. Contractors can become so busy that they struggle to keep up with the office work. Our office manager, Kristi, ensures that all estimates, invoices, contracts, lien releases, insurance forms, and alternative required paperwork is sent and received on time. Many of these processes are vital in the conclusion of the project.
